I suppose I should introduce myself.

I'm Glendon R. Frank, a Canadian writer, amateur critic, and now blogger. We'll see how the last one goes. I have sporadic and wide-ranging interests, from more intellectual thrillers to full-tilt action adventure and most everything in between. I whole-heartedly believe in the importance of studying what we watch, giving due justice to both our intellectuality and our creativity. This site is dedicated to that sort of idea. Here you'll find a sort of weird intersection between art and populism as I look at tentpole Hollywood movies with an eye for structure and theme.
